Trudi (Wikke x Lolke) owned by W.H.P. Hendriks of Hapert was awarded the Champion title! The judges described her as the ideal for the Friesian breed with beautiful topline, much front, and good movement.Reserve Champion was Yara van Kreterenhof (Onne x Karst) owned by Dryas B.V. in Lunteren. Youthful mare with long lines, beautiful front, and super movement.

The Central Mare Show started on Friday with sport classes and the inspection of yearlings, two year olds, and geldings. Saturday mostly three years old mares were inspected, Crown and Model title awarded. As the result of the inspection 64 mares got the preliminary Crown status, 14 permanent Crown title, 12 preliminary Model and 2 permanent Model title. The championship was preceded by various class championships: Yara van Kreterenhof was chosen as the champion of youth mare with Amalia van de Wisselplaats (Mintse x Gerryt) as the Reserve. Champion for the 3 year olds was Trudi. Tini van Stal van der Horst (Arjen x Leffert) was Reserve for the 3 year olds. The championship ribbon for the 4 year and older mares went to Model mare Feikje van de slothoeve (Teunis x Olof) and with Judith fan ’t Legemar (Onne x Nykle) got the Reserve title.

 

In the evening 5000 spectacors enjoyed Anniversary Show prepared for 130 th anniversary of KFPS. It was the biggest performance ever, it illustrated Friesian horse history from the beginning, in Holland and across the whole world! Even Her Majesty the Queen, Queen Beatrix, attended the evening anniversary show on Saturday. Every single ticket was sold out and over 5 thousand spectators came to see this amazing event!
